You know what I hate? When girls wear little, tiny skirts with leggings while wearing little white ankle socks. It makes them look like children.

I just watched the Kielburger brothers on MTV Live, and they were talking about their campaigns and everything they do. Their website, if you're interested. They were talking about one campaign of theirs, Halloween for Hunger. Basically, instead of asking for candy while trick or treating, you ask for canned food for the food bank. I really like the idea, but because there isn't enough time to get it organized properly, I was thinking of doing the same kind of thing later in the year. Boxing Day, and filling boxes with food for the food bank.

It's the day after Christmas and people will have realized that they didn't need that extra can of corn or cream of mushroom soup, right? So it'll just sit in their cupboard for a while until they either find a way to use it, forget about it completely or toss it. Or something like that, I haven't worked out the kinks in my plan. But it could work, right? All it would take it some organizing, letting people know and people to collect the food. People could just leave a box, and it could be a shoe box or a paper box, anything, by their door to be picked up.

It's always frustrated me that I know that there are ways that I could get involved, yet I never do. But here's my chance. I mean, if I can't go to Africa and help build a school, helping the people who live in my city is just the same.

And hey, if I could find a teacher who'd sponsor a group, I could start a Youth In Action group at school.

It could be done, right? It doesn't sound silly, right?
